The Wakefield Hotel which is part of The Great Taste Cycle Trail is located in the small community of Wakefield
which is situated 25km southwest of Nelson just past Brightwater at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. 

The Wakefield Hotel was originally built in 1867 and has all the character of a true kiwi-style country pub. Warm and inviting with a lovely fire in winter, large garden bar for the warmer months, gaming room, pool table and offers a fantastic restaurant dining experience as well as a full bar snack menu. We also cater for functions. There is always something on each week with Live Music, Karaoke, Quiz Nights, Pool Competitions and more.
